Casting & Learning Ponds

AFFTA's Fly Fishing Expo has three casting ponds, each allow for unparalleled opportunities for new and dedicated anglers to test products, receive hands on casting instruction, and watch celebrity demonstrations.

Discover Fly Fishing Pond:  Strictly dedicated to teaching all interested beginners how to fly cast and at the same time provide critical links to area shops and clubs to help beginners continue along the path to becoming avid fly anglers.  During each day of The Expo, this pond features both women's and children's only casting lessons.

Product Testing Pond:  Strictly reserved for anglers interested in trying out the latest and greatest that rod manufactures have to offer.

Demo and Competition Pond:  Attendees will learn tips and techniques from the pros as well as have an opportunity to show off their own casting skills by competing with fellow anglers.
